Thought you might like to to see these photos from our autumn walk to Bluebell Wood this week.
We saw so many interesting sights.
The children listened very carefully to all safety instructions and stayed safe - Well Done F2! You are such a good team.

The Bracknell Forest Conservation Team  kindly stopped their work to talk to the children. They were clearing hedgerows to promote  new growth and made a bonfire of all the unwanted wood.

Lots of interesting smells too!

At 11am we stopped to observe the 2 minute silence in respect of all those who have lost their lives in wars around the world.
A very loud cannnon went off, quite unexpectedly, from St.Marks church. The children continued their silence with hardly any fuss - it was truly amazing.

We collected leaves and other 'treasures'.
We do have more photos if you would like to see them - just ask when you are next in the classroom
Have a lovely weekend

Thursday 2 October 2014

We have been learning so much already this term. We have been counting, learning new sounds for reading, composing pirate songs, studying water and observing the changes that occur when water  melts and freezes.

Thought you might like to see some baking photos too. This activity covered so much in the Early Years curriculum including; recognising features of 2D shapes, developing good listening skills and negotiating skills  in order  to work well together and achieve, learning new vocabulary,  understanding the sciences behind cooking and recognising potential hazards in the kitchen.

From all of that, we managed to make some very tasty biscuits for snack time - Well Done F2, what a team! They were delicious:)

Finally....
We went to have a look at the new big green container outside the church to discuss what  3D shape it might be. I asked the children what they thought might be inside - one of them said
'I think Jesus is in there'.

What a lovely thought.
 Have a great weekend :)

Tuesday 2 September 2014

Welcome back to School!
Welcome to all our new students and parents.

We are in our F2 classroom getting ready for tomorrow. There are a few changes  including a very special Reading Tent for you to work and read in - we hope you like it :)

There will be a lot of information for you during the first week of term, so we will try and do it in small chunks.

Your first important diary date  is our first Parents Meeting

Tuesday 16th September 6.30pm.

In this meeting we will go through what we will be learning in the next half term and give you other information you will need for school.

So please do not worry about ANYTHING - just come to school tomorrow and we will spend the week settling into F2.

See you tomorrow and God bless

from Mrs.Dye and Mrs.Bay
